Seven decades since our founding in 1954 — the path DONG-A Specialty Chemical has walked. From our founding through the establishment of our manufacturing base and our incorporation, we have grown alongside an entire generation of automobiles.

Manufacturing base established; "DONG-A Specialty Chemical" name adopted
1973
DONG-A Specialty Chemical Co., Ltd. (DASCO) incorporated
1986
Korea Standard (KS) certification for Antifreeze and Brake Fluid (first in Korea)
1993
Established Shenyang-DASCO Chemical Co., Ltd. joint venture in China
1994
KS certification for automotive Washer Fluid
Technical exchange agreement signed with Sanshin Chemical Co., Ltd. (Japan)
1998
Registered a dedicated R&D department
Established DASCO-Sanshin Australia Pty., Ltd. joint venture in Australia
1999
Obtained ISO 9001 certification

Obtained QS 9000 certification
GM Holden quality approval
John Deere quality approval

Established Beijing Hansung-DASCO Chemical Co., Ltd. joint venture in China

Completed and relocated to the Anseong plant, Gyeonggi-do (current location)
